Tampa, Florida-based grindcore act SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY has finished recording its Nuclear Blast debut, "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry", with legendary guitarist-turned-producer James Murphy (DEATH, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY) at the helm. An March 2009 release via Nuclear Blast Records is expected.
German death metallers OBSCURA have posted another brand new track, "Incarnated", on their MySpace page. The song comes off the group's second full-length album, "Cosmogenesis", which will be released in the U.S. on February 17, 2009 via Relapse Records (March 2 internationally). The CD features guest appearances from Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK, BLOTTED SCIENCE) and Tymon Kruidenier (CYNIC, EXIVIOUS). "The new album sounds very intense and brutal", the band says in a statement.
"Initiate", the new video from Tasmanian tech-death masters PSYCROPTIC, can be viewed below. The Bergen County, NJ five-piece self-produced the disc at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ and brought in acclaimed producer/mixer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan) to handle mixing duties.
