The Apparatus has put together 21 track, 2 disc free download compilation. What's the catch? None of the bands are signed. Not even independent labels have caught on. This is the cream of the global crop; underground Tech Metal. It's hard to bring all these micro tech metal scenes together. This compilation is our biggest attempt. So here you go. Download it. Burn it. Blow up your car stereo with it. Do what you do.

For detailed information regarding each band follow along below:

Aphotic Discord (pa, USA)
We've been together since September of 2007. We recorded our first demo, Naturescapes, in January of 2008. We just finished our second demo, and will be playing many shows to support it. We hope you dig the music. Come out, support us, listen to our music, and show your friends. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the support, and give us a message for anything you might need. Peace, love, acoustic guitars, and gravity blasts.

Bedlam of Cacophony (cali, USA)
"Their demo followed by this EP has certainly set Bedlam of Cacophony in the right direction, it's a sin that a band with this much talent has not yet been picked up by a record label but I suppose it's because hardcore kids can't dance to this, nor sing along to any pretty choruses" - Alex Harrison / The Apparatus

Blorgalakt (nv, USA)
Our story is simple: We like to play. . . and we're in constant jeopardy of being assimilated into an ancient and powerful being that manifested and separated itself into six parasitic biomechanical robot arms bent on destruction on a galactic level. But that's it, mostly we just like to play.

Errata (AUS)
"A long overdue extension of the progressive inroads forged by Chuck Schuldiner with Death and far superior to what Italy's Ephel Duath promised with 2006's The Painter's Palette, Errata move beyond modern math-metal, meshing the resultant unprecedence with Charlie Parker's rudest dreams to create ‘jazzcore' – a genre sometimes hinted at but never fully formed until this band." - Renee Tibbs, Beat

Killitorous (CAN)
Ottawa based concept band, Killitorous forged by Aaron Homma(former guitarist of Among Ashes/Today I Caught The Plague) the group is set on one thing, creating heavy-ass music. Working on the first release, it should be expected by early 2009... Taking almost 3 years to write the material. Adding to the hellfire and brimstone is guitarist Andrew Allston(former Insurrection/Abhorrent Human Animation guitarist) with Matt Milford on bass, Bryan Lomas on Vocals(formerly of Grafenberg/Conquering Valhallah) and Alan Steinke(also formerly of Grafenberg/Conquering Valhallah) as third guitarist. For the early part of 2009 Killitorous sessioned with Dave Maclean(fromerly of Syncytia/Grafenberg) on drums, with many others attempting to take his place... With its unique blend of metalcore, death metal and grindcore Killitorous will rip off your face and force feed it to you through your nose with a coat hanger...

Torrential Downpour (nj, USA)
Torrential Downpour, an entity unto itself, dreams and reshapes its own existence to live vicariously through the musicians it harnesses. Structured by the imagery of human, Torrential creates its arms, legs and body through the percussive force of Peter Costa. Symbolized by guitar and piano, Jason Volpe transforms his energy of pure love manifesting the heart and stomach of this holographic being. The lungs and throat are sustained only by the lifeblood of vocal manipulator Prkr which naturally regulates breathing, filtering unwanted toxins and energy resonance. All of this falling apart without the apt sense and control of bass player Matt Cece as the brain and eyes. Together, using a battery of harsh and hauntingly beautiful soundscapes, a voice and language are given to Torrential Downpour. A voice that struggles for its place in the collective unconscious. But through all of this, the soul always remains the same. A beauty that is unthinkable and unstoppable. A version of love you have yet to discover. Torrential is everything...everything you've heard or haven't. Everything that is or isn't. Torrential Downpour is a reflection of you...because in truth, you are everything.
