It is now 2008 and, though Paria continues to play the occasional live show, the excitement for a sophomore album is rising once again

In November 2004 Nebraska natives Paria debuted "Misanthropos" on Black Market Activities. The album and band's tech-hardcore hybrid quickly gained notice. The band has since toured with tech metal brothers Psyopus and Into the Moat as well as played several festivals including Detroit's cult Robot Mosh Fest.

Through a span of 3 years with vocal and drummer changes it's been unclear whether Paria could become solid again. In February 07 Eric Schnee left Paria to re-form the Jersey legends 'The Binding' yet a month later, original drummer Corey Barnes re-joined Paria.

Paria continues to grind on with the loss of vocalist Brian Craig. The band commented:
Brian Craig (vocals) has left the band for good to continue to persue his college education and Eric Schnee (drummer) left the band for personal reasons. We would like to thank both of them for all the commitment and dedication they put into the band in the the time they spent with us. The good news is that Corey Barnes (original drummer) has returned to the band and we have continued to write at full force. We have decided that this next album, which we are planning to record this spring to be released via Black Market Activities, is going to be instrumetal. We are still going to keep most of it heavy and intense, but we want to add a vast amount of influences and sounds into our music and we feel that having a vocalist may hinder us from achieving the amount of experimentation we want to do as well as take focus away from what the band is doing instrumentally. Our first show like this will be held January 27 in Omaha, NE at Sokol Underground with Ladyfinger. We plan on doing some short weekend tours as we continue to write our album and are planning on doing some more extensive touring in the summer.
A second Paria full-length has been in the works since Dec 2005.  Here is Paria's first recorded instrumental track entitled 'Circus DEMO'

Here you can hear the Paria demo track 'Circus' with former vocalist Brian:

Despite the low quality of the live video you can still hear the progression and growth Paria is taking without a vocalist. It is now 2008 and, though Paria continues to play the occasional live show, the excitement for a sophomore album is rising once again
