there was this two man band called the talkovich brothers. Theyre guitarist had a full stack, ne was a guitar cab and the other was a bass amp.

I play through a Boss Modeller and I get a much more consistent sound from gig to gig going direct. As anyone knows, guitar speakers sound different depending on the room, spatial relation to walls, stage material, etc. My amp/cab sounds great in our little practice room, but it sounds dry and thin in a cavernous space like a few of the bars down here, so to eliminate that variable, I just DI it right to the board. People look at a metal band wierd when the guitarist doesn't even have an amp onstage.

yeah, I can understand it, especially when mine sounds better then the guy before me who was playing through 8 different rack units and a Dual Rectumfrier......
