And there is nothing crusty about emmure just more deathcore/hardcore/whatever/boring as fuckI'm going to have to disagree. It seems evident and I believe I can convince you that i)The Acacia strain plays technical brutal death metal ii) Emmure plays crusty blackened death metal.
Let's break it down:
rofl The Acacia Strain is distinguished by the complexity of their music. Common traits are abruptly changing, sometimes chaotic song structures, uncommon time signatures, atypical rhythms and unusual harmonies and melodies. Also, they not only focus on speed and aggression but also incorporate technical and progressive elements.
Meanwhile, Emmure is a fusion of death metal mixing the intensity, speed, and brevity of grindcore with the complexity of death metal. It's also kinda like sped-up, more dissonant, crust punk, only blackened, deathed, ground, and crusty minced.
As I said, both of these amazing bands are pushing the musical envelope forward in ways that their peers could only dream of.
