make incredible music.


Leviathan and Blood Mountain are masterpieces, in my opinion. They're popularity is a bit of a turn off but the music is great so I couldn't honestly care less.


Any fans?

Remission I honestly haven't listened to as much as Leviathan and Blood Mountain but I'm sure I will eventually.

i was the other way around, I grabbed remission when it came out and the others just didnt size up I always go back to remission

their early eps are great ('call of the mastodon' collects them) and 'remission' is my favorite album by them. it's chaotic and energized. the others are good, but they lack the spark that 'remission' has, i think.

Yeah Remission has a kind of frantic groove or swing to it that the othes don't, but certain tracks off Leviathan like Megalodon and tracks off of Bood Mountain like Capilarian Crest are great and swing as much as Remission. Great band, and Brann Dailor is a fantastic drummer.

They're great and Leviathan is probably my favorite, but I haven't really given Remission enough listens.

I can't get enough of the drumming no matter how much I listen.
